R&D Technician (Automotive) 6814
Location: Gloucester
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities of a R&D Technician:
- Support the development of new automotive products from concept through to production
- Build and assemble prototype components for testing and evaluation
- Test and validate products including valves, intercoolers, air intake systems and actuators
- Support dyno, vehicle and bench testing activities
- Fit products to customer vehicles where required
- Assist with product improvement and ongoing development projects
- Produce clear technical feedback and reports following testing and development work
- Work closely with design, CNC, fabrication and production teams to transition products into production
Key Skills of a R&D Technician:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on engineering skills
- Previous experience within an automotive or motorsport environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident using workshop equipment and measuring tools
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Organised, methodical and able to work independently or within a team
- Experience with TIG welding, fabrication or CNC environments would be advantageous but not essential
