£40,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a well-established engineering team in Nuneaton. This role focuses on converting engineering drawings and CAD models into accurate and efficient CNC programs, supporting safe and high-quality machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, optimise and maintain CNC toolpaths in line with best practice and company standards
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager to understand job scope, tolerances and machining requirements
  • Ensure correct tooling, holders and machine selection prior to programming
  • Collaborate with machinists to resolve machining issues and support production
  • Maintain accurate programming documentation and revision control
  • Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and CAM programming
  • Experience using WorkNC, PowerMill and PowerShape (or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
  • High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
