Location:
Tewkesbury

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 shifts per week (Monday – Sunday)

  • Early: 05:00 – 13:00
  • Day: 09:00 – 17:00
  • Late: 13:00 – finish
  • Sundays: 06:00 – finish (typically 10–11 hour shifts)

Salary:
Starting at £14.12 per hour, rising to £14.54 with training


Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Process Operative:

  • Safely intake, control, and process products within a hygienic food production environment.
  • Prepare and operate machinery, including CIP equipment, in line with company standards and food safety legislation.
  • Monitor health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Maintain clear communication across production teams and departments.
  • Support efficient workflow and assist with troubleshooting where required.

Key Skills of a Trainee Process Operative:

  • Experience in food production or machine operation is desirable, though proactive candidates from fast-paced environments will be considered.
  • Ability to work methodically with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying shift patterns.

Training & Development:

  • Full trainee programme (6–7 months) starting on the external tanker bay.
  • Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
  • Progression to Process Operative and future development towards Process Technician.
  • Opportunity to achieve Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
