Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:30pm
Salary
£24,124 – £33,903 per annum
Key Responsibilities of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer
- Assist service engineers in identifying correct part numbers using machine manuals
- Support engineers with identifying spindles across a range of machines
- Raise PIDBs with factories to obtain parts delivery information
- Prepare and issue customer quotations
- Process customer orders following order confirmation
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm availability and delivery times of parts
- Provide day-to-day support as part of the Spares Team within the Service Department
Key Skills of a Technical Desk Spares Engineer
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach
- Able to think logically and work effectively under pressure
- Team player with the ability to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and consistently high standards of work
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently when required
- Good computer literacy
- Knowledge of CNC machine tools or similar engineering products (desirable)
- Experience using multiple computer systems (desirable)
