Warehouse Team Leader 

Location: Tewkesbury

Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a rotating shift rota (start times from 06:00)

Salary: £14.12 – £15.42 per hour (plus overtime enhancements after 40 hours)
 


Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Lead, support, and motivate a large team of operatives through receiving, picking, and returns of chilled products

  • Control stock movements and ensure codes are accurately verified against tickets

  • Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of delivery vehicles

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and Health & Safety in the warehouse environment

  • Step in to cover Warehouse Supervisor responsibilities when required

  • Foster an open, supportive team culture, encouraging clear communication and continuous improvement


Key Skills of a Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Proven experience working within a fast-paced warehouse, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG

  • Able to thrive under tight deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Flexible to work varied start times on a rotating shift pattern (from 06:00)

  • Ideally hold a current Counterbalance Forklift or Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach

  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
