Electric Vehicle Auto Electrician

Location: Near Dursley
Hours: 07:00 – 16:30
Salary: Highly competitive, based on experience

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Auto Electrician to step into a pivotal role within our growing EV division. You will not only diagnose and repair electric vehicle systems, but also play a hands-on role in the assembly of new EVs and the conversion of diesel-powered vehicles using fully electric conversion kits. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver high-performance, sustainable refuse vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electric vehicle systems including battery packs, power electronics, and drivetrains
  • Lead the build process of new EVs, integrating full electric conversion kits in place of diesel engines
  • Oversee EV conversions, ensuring all components are installed correctly and meet performance expectations
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to optimise EV reliability and efficiency
  • Follow stringent safety protocols for high-voltage systems and conversion procedures
  • Maintain accurate service and build records, contributing to ongoing process improvements

About You

  • Proven experience with electric vehicle systems or advanced automotive technologies
  • Previous involvement in EV conversions or a strong interest in vehicle electrification
  • Relevant certifications in EV maintenance and high-voltage systems are highly desirable
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamworking abilities in a fast-moving environment
