Location: Gloucester
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: up to £45,000, based on experience
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Centre Lead to oversee workshop operations and a team of service and repair fitters. This role focuses on delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely while maintaining a strong emphasis on leadership and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly forecasting and workshop coordination to ensure operational priorities are achieved.
- Supervise and inspire service and repair teams, including conducting performance reviews and arranging training.
- Oversee service and repair activities to maintain discipline, quality, and safety standards.
- Provide hands-on mechanical build and repair support during busy periods.
- Monitor capacity, performance, and challenges, ensuring timely problem resolution and escalation.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates on progress or challenges.
- Contribute to achieving business targets and supporting senior management strategies.
- Manage customer updates, order processing (using Efacs), and third-party procurement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience in mechanical repair/service, ideally with knowledge of valves and pressure testing equipment.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and develop team capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; familiarity with Lean principles is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
