Location: Gloucester

Hours: Full-Time
Salary: up to £45,000, based on experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Centre Lead to oversee workshop operations and a team of service and repair fitters. This role focuses on delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely while maintaining a strong emphasis on leadership and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly forecasting and workshop coordination to ensure operational priorities are achieved.
  • Supervise and inspire service and repair teams, including conducting performance reviews and arranging training.
  • Oversee service and repair activities to maintain discipline, quality, and safety standards.
  • Provide hands-on mechanical build and repair support during busy periods.
  • Monitor capacity, performance, and challenges, ensuring timely problem resolution and escalation.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates on progress or challenges.
  • Contribute to achieving business targets and supporting senior management strategies.
  • Manage customer updates, order processing (using Efacs), and third-party procurement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in mechanical repair/service, ideally with knowledge of valves and pressure testing equipment.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and develop team capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; familiarity with Lean principles is an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
