Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Wotton- Under- Edge

Hours: 40+ hours per week

Salary: £11.44ph to £13.29ph DOE

Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Assemble, fit, and install mechanical systems and components in machinery and equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and manuals to ensure the correct assembly of parts.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems to ensure they operate efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
• Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Key Skills of a Mechanical Fitter:

• Proven experience in mechanical fitting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards in a mechanical environment.
• A qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
