Temporary Forklift Drivers

Location: Gloucester

Contract Length: 2-4 weeks, with the possibility of extension
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm – 12:30 am

Pay Rate:

• £12.00 per hour (excluding shift premium)
• 20% shift premium on hours worked after 6:00 pm

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator (FLT) to join our replenishment team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring inventory is effectively restocked, organized, and accessible for the team. You will handle and transport materials with precision and efficiency, supporting our warehouse operations during the afternoon and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities of a Temporary Forklift Drivers

• Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach, or other types) to load, unload, and transport materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Replenish stock locations and ensure items are accurately stored
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure forklifts are in proper working condition.
• Move stock to designated areas in warehouses or storage facilities.
• Stack and organise products as per company requirements.
• Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of product location.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.

Key Skills of a Temporary Forklift Drivers

• Valid forklift certification/license (required).
• Previous experience in forklift driving in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (essential).
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and strong awareness of safety protocols.
• Flexibility with shift work and overtime, if needed.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
