Sheet Metal Worker – Cheltenham

Permanent – Mon to Thurs 7.30 – 4.30, Friday 7.30 – 12.30

£34,000 – £42,500 dependent on experience

Are you passionate about craftsmanship and seeking a role with flexibility in a supportive work environment? We are looking for skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Workers specialising in thin gauge aluminium, steel, and titanium.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate sheet metal products with precision, following technical drawings, instructions, and processes.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines and hand tools to cut, bend, and straighten metal materials.
• Shape sheet metal using anvils, blocks, or custom forms, ensuring accurate dimensions and smooth finishes.
• Assist in training new or less experienced team members when required.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.

Skills and Expertise:

• Proficient in using shrinkers, stretchers, straighteners, the English wheel, and rollers to shape parts.
• Strong understanding of metal behaviour during forming.
• Experience working with titanium, steel, and aluminium.
• Panel beater skills are essential.
• Welding experience is not required.

Knowledge and Compliance:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
• Familiarity with first-off inspection procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all company Quality and Health & Safety policies.
• Uphold high standards and contribute to team success.
• Willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities as required.
• Support training efforts and remain adaptable to potential transfers within the company to meet business needs.
