Support & Technical Engineer – Quedgeley
The role will involve providing technical support services to a customer base, via telephone, email and the company’s website and support ticketing system. An excellent telephone manner as well as customer service and support attitude is essential, as is a working knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting technical issues for customers.
The role will be responsible for the RMA’s that are received from customers, an ownership of the process is required from the time the ticket is raised until the item is returned to the customer. Hardware resolution will involve testing components, replacement of parts and the use of a soldering iron.
Practical experience of working with PCs, networks and mobile devices. Ideally experience in the support services environment and in particular the educational technology sector. Electrical component testing would be desirable.
Familiarity with tablet devices and mobile operating systems, specifically Android, a distinct advantage. Practical skills in working with PCs and technology, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting problems. Hands on hardware resolution and testing.
Self management, highly motivated, initiative led, excellent communication skills, teamwork, organised, strong desire to grow and learn. Willingness to take on new challenges.
Full time, permanent role based in Quedgeley
8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
£20,000 – £24,000 per annum dependent on experience
