Quality Control Inspector
Location: Gloucester
Hours: 7.15am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday, 7.15am – 12.15pm Friday

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Reporting to the Inspection Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspection tasks to ensure products and processes meet company standards, drawings, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:

• Perform inspection of products and processes across all areas of quality control.
• Ensure conformity of products and documentation to relevant specifications and company standards.
• Complete inspection documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including dimensional reports, NDE reports, manufacturing route cards, and calibration records.
• Raise non-conformance reports for deviations from specifications or drawings.
• Use appropriate quality control measuring equipment and techniques.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection team.
• Ensure all measuring equipment used is within calibration.
• Carry out inspections such as hydrostatic testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship.
• Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent) is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (desirable).
• Proficient with inspection equipment: micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, hardness testers, etc.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (both component and assembly).
• Experience using CMM (manual and CNC) and/or Inspection Arm (desirable).
• Familiarity with materials certification requirements.
