Purchase Ledger Clerk


Location: Stroud

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £20,000 – £22,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours:  Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 & Friday 08:00-13:00

Part time hours would be considered for the right candidate


Duties to Include:

  • Matching supplier invoices received to delivery notes and purchase orders
  • Ensuring that invoices are signed by authorized personnel
  • Posting invoices and credit notes into the accounting software
  • Resolving invoice queries/liaising with suppliers
  • Processing a weekly bacs run for supplier payments
  • Keeping all supplier accounts up to date
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
  • Manage the group accounts email inbox



  • Purchase Ledger experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
