Project Engineer – Gloucester
Salary – £35,000 – £40,000
We are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to support our Project Managers in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of projects, both in-house and off-site. The role involves:
- Reviewing project scope and technical documentation
- Checking drawings and specifications from clients and suppliers
- Obtaining quotations for products and services
- Raising manufacturing requests for in-house materials, tools, and equipment
- Placing orders using the company's financial systems
- Overseeing in-house engineering design, including mould tooling, and providing project approvals
- Monitoring and expediting delivery of items from in-house and suppliers
- Coordinating logistics with company subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with company and legislative procedures, as well as quality, health and safety, and environmental standards
In addition to these responsibilities, you will be actively involved in site visits and activities, where you will:
- Coordinate field personnel for site work and produce site handover packs
- Support the Senior Project Manager with detailed site schedule planning
- Monitor and support site activities, liaising daily with Site Managers and Supervisors
- Obtain and review necessary site paperwork
- Collate and submit Manufacturing Record Books detailing completed site activities
Ideal candidates will be:
- Proficient in coordinating project work, both in-house and off-site
- Experienced in purchasing, expediting, and logistics
- Clear and effective communicators, with the ability to present information concisely for approval
- Highly organised and reliable in completing tasks under pressure and within strict deadlines
- Comfortable working with various IT systems
