Plant Operators/Groundworkers

Location: Wrington, North Somerset

Hours:  Monday to Friday 7:30am until 4pm – 6 Month project

* 6th January 2025 *

Salary:  £150-£200 per day

Our client is seeking experienced Plant Operators and Groundworkers to join their team on a dynamic construction project. This role is essential to the successful execution of groundwork and plant operations, requiring hands-on experience, attention to safety, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities of a Plant Operators/Groundworkers:

• Operate heavy plant machinery (e.g., excavators, dumpers, rollers) for groundwork activities.
• Assist with various groundworks tasks, including excavation, trenching, grading, and levelling.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery in line with site safety standards.
• Work from project specifications and follow the directions of site supervisors and foremen.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.

Key Skills of a Plant Operators/Groundworkers:

• Valid Plant Operator Tickets (e.g., CPCS or NPORS) – essential for operating machinery.
• CSCS Card – required for site access.
• Experience in Groundworks – ideally with a focus on site preparation and foundation work.
• Ability to work from technical specifications and site plans.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
