Maintenance Technician

Location: Stonehouse
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:45 – 16:30, Friday 07:45 – 15:30
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:

  • Report to the Engineering Services Team Leader and support various projects within a busy engineering department.
  • Improve company assets, including machinery, equipment, and buildings.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, safety issues, and urgent maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure the quality of your work, report defects to supervision, and gather adequate information to complete tasks effectively.

Key Skills of a Maintenance Technician:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of equipment and tools.
  • Experience in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, and drives.
  • Problem-solving and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative, and a strong team player.
  • Forklift driving (training available if needed).
