Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Hours:  Fulltime | Permanent

Our prestigious client is looking for a Machine Shop Inspector to join their team!

You’ll be responsible for assembling and testing components whilst maintaining a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate will have previous Fitting experience in an Aerospace or Automotive environment and have completed an NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.

Please note: Shift work will be required on a 4-shift, 4-week rotation with premium payment.

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Shop Inspector

• Inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers.
• Evaluate output data from CMM machines.
• Undertake inspection activities for parts, which will include: First Off, CMM Inspection, and Final View Inspection of internal parts.
• Inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers, with a full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements.
• Understand quality issues and the determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis.
• Work to ASMEY14.5 2009 and ISO1011 2004 standards.

Key Skills of a Machine Shop Inspector

• Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
• Modern Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 Qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
• Understanding of quality issues and the ability determine suitable outcomes.
• CMM Inspection experience
• Ability to understand and evaluate output data from CMM machines.
• Full understanding of AS9102 FAI, ASMEY14.5 2009, and ISO1011 2004 standards.
