Machine Operative

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Salary: Up to £13.25 per hour
Hours: Full Time | Weekly rotation shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm / Monday to Friday 14:00pm – 22:00pm

Our client is looking for a Machine Operative to join their team!

You will operate a variety of machinery producing units of packed products whilst ensuring Health and Safety standards are adhered to.

Our client offers on the job training with the opportunity to progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Operative

• Operate a variety of machinery producing units of packed products.
• Pack finished products on the end of the line ready to send through to distribution.
• Ensure a high standard of quality is maintained throughout the production process.
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards in line with Company procedure.
• To communicate any issues as they arise.
• Follow all company procedures and adhere to Health and Safety standards.
• Training, coaching, and mentoring of any other team members.

Key Skills of a Machine Operative

• The ability to work on fast moving production lines.
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns and work to tight deadlines.
• Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to pass Level 2 Food Safety.
• Experience working in similar food production sector (Desirable).
• Knowledge of food production and food hygiene (Desirable).
