Job Objective:

To drive Lean methodology and continuous improvement to meet site and group KPI’s. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation and execution of Lean manufacturing techniques.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritise Lean projects within the business – investigate these projects, presenting solutions and delivering results
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure effective and robust processes
  • Report on progress of projects
  • Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change
  • Define, develop and publish business improvement process documentation
  • Provide expertise, professional advice and guidance to the business in business improvement, drawing from proven industry practice and methodologies
  • Challenging and supporting existing processes and procedures
  • Leading site process improvements where necessary
  • Engage with all supporting functional departments to develop strong relationships to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify related training needs and coordinate training approach
  • Stay current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect Lean

Desired Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Strong understanding of lean tools, concepts, methods and processes
  • Proven experience in identifying, execution and driving to closure of lean projects
  • Ability to engage, commit, coach and organise
  • Six Sigma qualified – Black/Green belt
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environment i.e. ISO 13485
  • Able to work under own initiative, as part of a team and take the lead in a project where appropriate
  • Experience in defining and mentoring operational KPI’s
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Competent IT Skills especially in the use of MS Office

Experience:

  • Lean Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)

Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week

Times of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:55 to 16:55, Friday 7:55 to 13:55

Salary: Competitive
