Internal Sales Executive
Location: Gloucester
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 08.30-17.00, Fri 08.30-16.30, with a 1-hour lunch break)
Salary: £28,000+ per annum, depending on experience
Our client is a leading international provider of advanced telecommunications solutions for mission and business-critical networks. They are looking for a highly motivated Internal Sales Executive to join their expanding Sales Team during an exciting time in the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, ambitious, and forward-thinking professional with a proven sales track record.
Key Responsibilities of an Internal Sales Executive
- Regularly updating the CRM system
- Upselling and cross-selling to existing customers
- Conducting research on market trends and competitors' products
- Generating revenue by selling products or services through phone, email, or other virtual channels
- Identifying and qualifying leads
- Producing sales presentations
- Negotiating deals and closing sales
- Working closely with marketing and other professionals to develop strategies and achieve sales targets
- Identifying and quantifying business sectors for internet service providers, utilities, government/defence, and system integrators
- Presenting telecommunications solutions to potential users
- Attending industry events and conferences to network and promote products and the business
- Building relationships and staying up to date with new products and technologies
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them, presenting sales information to the Senior Management Team
- Actively participating in completing tender applications received into the business
- Delivering in-person and online sales presentations to prospective and existing customers
- Collaborating with the engineering team to find resolutions and solutions for new and existing customers
Key Skills of an Internal Sales Executive
- Solid IT skills with knowledge of necessary software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English
- Strong customer service experience and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Strong desire to understand the company’s products and competition in the industry
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Technical skills to understand and propose products and solutions based on client requirements
