Hours: Fulltime, Permanent  
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 

Job Description of a Financial Accountant  

Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join their team. 

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Accountant  

• Assist in the development and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. 
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies. Coordinate and assist with external audits. 
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. 
• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies. 
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. 
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and liaise with tax advisors as needed. 
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance financial systems and processes. 
• Support various finance-related projects and initiatives as required. 

Key Skills of a Financial Accountant  

• Formal accounting qualifications (either part or fully qualified) 
• Experience with Opera would be desirable. 
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely. 
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
