Product Development Engineer, Stonehouse
The Product Development Engineer is a prime driver of the design and development of our next generation products. This highly collaborative role uses sound engineering principles and creativity to conceptualise innovative solutions to customer challenges, covert them into working prototypes, before developing them in to production ready designs.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to commercial briefs for product specifications
- Developing innovative ideas for new products
- Have experience managing products/projects from concept to completion
- Creating engineering drawings to obtain design approval
- Designing new products on 3D CAD
- Prototyping new products as required
- Testing new products and using analysis to review/improve product design
- Testing and evaluating competitors’ products
- Ensure all processes are adhered to and documentation completed
Candidate requirements
- Product design experience
- Designing components for plastic injection moulded components is essential
- 5+ years industry experience
- 3D CAD experience
