Stroud

Hours:
39 hours per week – Day Shift
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
(30-minute daily unpaid break)

Salary:
£12.21 – £13.50 per hour
(Subject to experience)


Key Responsibilities of a Debur Operative / General Hand:

  • Use mechanical tools and hand tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from machined aerospace components.

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure high-quality standards are achieved.

  • Prepare components for further processing or surface treatments.

  • Support general workshop duties as required, maintaining a tidy and organised work environment.

  • Follow detailed process instructions and production schedules.


Key Skills of a Debur Operative / General Hand:

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and precision.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Willingness to train and learn new skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience using mechanical tools in a workshop or engineering environment.

  • Familiarity with aerospace components or a similar precision engineering sector.
