CNC Setter / Operator (Haas)

Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Hours: 06:00am – 14:00pm/14:00pm – 12:00pm shift rotation (37-hour standard working week)
Salary: Dependant on experience

Our client is looking for a CNC Setter / Operator to join their industry leading manufacturing company based in Quedgeley.

Our client provide one off and small batch parts, in various materials, for a large variety of industries including medical, aerospace, and automotive.

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter / Operator

Responsible for setting and operating a range of Haas CNC Milling and/or Turning machines.

• Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into machine instructions using Haas CNC controls.
• Operate CNC machines to execute machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
• Perform in-process inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Key Skills of a CNC Setter / Operator

• Experience operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
• Experience working for a sub-contract engineering company, producing one off and small batch work is desirable.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.
• Efficient and methodical working method.
