CNC Setter/Operator
Location: Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour
Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join their team! This role involves setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various CNC milling machines, including Mazak, Bridgeport, and Brother 5-axis and 3-axis machines, using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter/Operator
- Set and operate CNC milling machine tools.
- Set up tooling and fixturing as per set-up sheets.
- Monitor tool life and ensure efficient operation.
- Verify standards of manufacture using measuring equipment.
- Obtain First Off inspection approval for every operation.
- Accurately log operation times in real-time via the Shop Floor Data Capture system.
- Work safely and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Strong background in sub-contract CNC manufacturing.
- Previous experience in CNC machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls.
- Attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
