Business Development Manager 

Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Hours: Fulltime, permanent | Monday – Friday | 08:00am – 17:00pm 
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team, to ensure key accounts are maintained and client relationships are growing.

You will liaise with small businesses, large corporations, and a diverse blend of public and private sector enterprises.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent negotiator and hold the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, deadline driven environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager

  • Act as the primary sales contact for all customers on your personal target list.
  • Act as secondary sales contact for all customers on your Area Sales Managers target list.
  • Ensure the Area Sales Manager is kept up to date with relevant correspondence.
  • Work with the Area Sales Manager to ensure key accounts are maintained and client relationships are growing.
  • Build strong customer relationships using regular contact.
  • Maintain communication with senior contacts within Key Accounts.
  • Pass all enquiries, orders and aftersales for all customers within your area to Customer Success with clear expectations.
  • Action all enquiry and sales opportunity follow ups.
  • Effectively manage the CRM system by entering clear and accurate data.
  • Ensure diligent follow up of every lead and enquiry.
  • Ensure meeting agreements are completed within the deadlines agreed.
  • Book meetings and appointments as directed by the Area Sales Manager.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external meetings.

  • Can demonstrate strong levels of determination and resilience.
  • Proficient in a range of IT systems.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-Motivated and organised.
