3 Month Temp – Administrator

Location: Gloucester
Hours: 37 hours p/week
Salary: £11.98 p/hour
Work: 3 months temp cover

 

In this role, you'll provide essential administrative support to the Service Area, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. Your responsibilities include data management, financial administration, document production, and handling inquiries. You'll maintain accurate records, manage diaries, handle mail, and assist with financial tasks like reconciling payments. Additionally, you'll review processes to identify opportunities for improvement and produce various documents using IT packages. Your role also involves serving as a point of contact for inquiries, both in-person and over the phone. Overall, your contributions will be vital in supporting the Service Area's objectives and maintaining efficient operations.

 

Key Responsibilities of a Administrator

  • Support the Service Area with efficient administrative functions.
  • Input and maintain timely data in both computerized and manual formats.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including handling telephone inquiries, managing diaries, filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
  • Ensure effective implementation of administrative processes to support the Service Area's objectives.
  • Receipt cash and cheques, and reconcile payments.
  • Assist in streamlining workflow and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Produce various documents using IT packages such as Word, Excel, ERIC, BBIS, CMS, and SAP.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from service users professionally and accurately.

 

Key Skills of a Administrator 

  • General administrative experience.
  • Experience working in a team.
  • Experience in a Local Authority setting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Telephone etiquette and skills.
  • Strong customer service aptitude.
  • Familiarity with ERIC, BBIS, CMS, and SAP systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to manage and organize workload independently.
  • GCSE level education in Mathematics and English, Grade C and above or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 2 in Administration or relevant equivalent
