Location: Stroud

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience

A full Driving Licence and access to your own transport is ESSENTIAL for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of personal and partnership tax returns

  • Preparation and submission of Limited Company accounts and Corporation Tax Returns

  • Liaising with and supporting clients in relation to the above

  • General aspects of bookkeeping including VAT Returns

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, reviewing financial transactions including accruals and prepayments, depreciation and month end journals

  • Statistical analysis and management reporting including cashflow forecast and budgeting

  • Visiting clients on a routine basis


Key Skills:

  • Experience doing accounts for multiple clients

  • Previous experience using SAGE, Xero and Quickbooks is essential

  • Knowledge and experience using IRIS is essential

  • part or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or AAT Level 4 is highly desirable 

  • Excellent IT skills including MS office packages, especially using Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines at any one time

  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team when required

  • Strong communicator

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Time Management Skills
