Production Planner - Gloucester

Job Description

As part of the manufacturing team you will be primarily tasked with helping to define the manufacturing schedule for the production facility at Gloucester.  You will liaise with the internal project team to ensure schedules are adhered to, as well as reporting any potential issues to the engineering management.

The ideal candidate will have relevant engineering experience

Scope and Purpose of Job:

To coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Monitoring and review production schedules; conferring with workshop engineers to determine progress of work and completion dates, inventory levels, and helping to solve planning issues

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide the information needed for a smoothly run material supply chain and production of finished goods to demand.
  • Update systems to provide daily on-going visibility of jobs
  • Help ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
  • Analyse data and prepare documents needed for production planning.
  • Create production schedules and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization.
  • Maintain the production schedule and other reports as required.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
  • Working closely with sales, production and purchasing to forecast material availability in line with business needs
  • Complete shortage status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
  • Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding production efficiencies or additional information as requested from Workshop, Customer Service and Accounting.

This is a full time permanent role

Salary circa £25,000

22 days holiday + bank holidays rising to 26 after 3 years service
